World leading automaker Toyota is poised to enter Myanmar market first with trucks and commercial vehicles, Eleven Media Group reported.
The Japanese company is conducting surveys at factories and workshops in Myanmar to export trucks and vehicles to the Southeast Asian country, according to an official of Toyota Tsusho Corporation.
The corporation has its office at Sedona Hotel in Yangon, the commercial hub of Myanmar.
Forklifts and other functional trucks will become first Toyota exports to the country of which the Foreign Investment Law was just approved by parliament.
Toyota sees prospects in manufacturing industry which is expected to experience a boom with a flurry of foreign investments after the enactment of the FDI law.
