Ministry of Hotels and Tourism of Myanmar has invited local and foreign entrepreneurs to launch bids for operation of government-run hotels in Mon State, Yangon Region, Taninthayi Region and Shan State.
A newspaper ad run by state-owned dailies suggests that managements of Kyaikhto Hotel near famous Kyaikhtiyoe Pagoda in Mon State, Imperial Jade Hotel and Letkhotkon Hotel in Yangon Region, and Kalaw Hotel and Pindaya Hotel in Shan State have expired.
The ministry will lease the hotels in five-year deals for which tenders must be submitted to the ministry office in Nay Pyi Taw by mid August.
The ministry officials brief on lease of the hotels at Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on 14 August.
The name of the company or company registration certificate or the name of private entrepreneur, lease fee, intended purpose, preferred lease system, volume of investment and capital must be included in the application.
