Myanmar helped Association of South East Asian Nations draw global attention and participants in World Economic Forum in Nay Pyi Taw hoped that both Myanmar and ASEAN would gain profits from the enhanced profiled, CNA reported.
Myanmar president Thein Sein in WEF said the country is open to foreign investments.
“And we should all seize this opportunity as a moment to come together and try to work out our differences and achieve a breakthrough for the integration of the region,” Zippo Group director John Riady said.
ASEAN Economic Community which will come to life by the end of 2015 will integrate the ASEAN economies.
The three-day World Economic Forum-East Asia was concluded on Friday.
